I love the look of the new Azek deck boards – the Terra Collection with Sedona (brown) and Tahoe (gray) and the Arbor Collection with Morado (brown), Acacia (dark brown) and Redland Rose (red). In addition to the 2 new colors introduced last year – Fawn (cedar) and Kona (dark brown) – and the original Azek colors, there is now a deck board to match almost anyone’s taste. Combining the aesthetics with a lifetime warranty and superior stain resistance, the Azek boards make a great choice for most homeowners. We built the first Azek Kona deck in western Pennsylvania and a picture is below.

New Trex Transcend Decking and Railing

Just got back from a training session with my Trex rep. The new Trex Transcend decking and railing look great. The decking comes in 4 new colors – vintage lantern (dark brown), tree house (light brown), gravel path (gray) and fire pit (red). The decking boards are composite with a PVC layered shell on 3 sides and a very good looking deep grain. There is a 25 year limited warranty against fade and stain. The Transcend fascia trim is grained for the first time. The railing is basically Trex’s Artisan rail and comes in all 4 deck colors, plus white and black, and can be mixed and/or matched.

Archadeck of Pittsburgh South Hills is looking forward to building its first Trex Transcend deck. I think Trex has hit a home run with its new Transcend product.
